The Civil House was officially opened on 18 November 2015. It is primarily members of local clubs and arts groups who hold their events here, including the Silver Club on Wednesdays, the Dalárda Mixed Choir on Mondays, and the Karosi Youth Group on Fridays.

Every Sunday from 10.00 am, the Reformed pastor István Kovács holds a Reformed church service at the Civil House. The Civil House is home to all civil organisations, foundations, associations, clubs and arts groups in Zalakaros. The Civil House is open to everyone; it can be hired and hosts a variety of programmes. These include, for example, the „Kerekítő” sessions run by the Mum and Baby Club, football matches for football enthusiasts, meetings of civil organisations, and so on. To use the Civil House, you must book in advance by contacting the Zalakaros Community Centre and Library (telephone: 06 30 98 33 944).
